About the business
The Evolved K9 believes that every dog is unique in the ways they learn, and view the world. Their training needs to match their personalities, and needs. It's also important that owners are involved as much as possible in the learning proces! Evolve is in our name due to our core belief in believing that we need to evolve in our relationships with our dogs in order to meet their needs.
About the Trainers
Mandy Matos
Mandy grew up in Wyoming, where she fell in love with dog training after a childhood of being around ranch dogs. She took special interest in service dogs, the jobs they perform, and the people they help. In the past 8 years Mandy has had the pleasure of working with dogs for blood sugar alerts, psychiatric disabilities, and mobility purposes. Watching these dogs provide a service for their handlers, and increase the quality of their humans’ lives was truly a life changing experience. These experiences lead her to Starmark Dog Trainer Academy where she graduated as a certified canine training and behavior specialist. Upon a move to Miami Florida she worked with rescue dogs in behavior modification, and rehabilitation to ready them for adoption all the while working with internationally known trainer Ludovic Teurbane and his partner Paulina training working line dogs and pets. In 2019 she moved to Austin Texas where she trained with a dog training company and advanced to lead trainer. While there she trained dogs for therapy work, service work, behavior modification, and obedience training. Afterwards she returned Wyoming to help her community and gaining her PDC in Protection Sport Association, before finally returning to Florida to settle down.
Chris Matos
Chris grew up in Miami, Florida and developed a passion for training and rescuing dogs. His passion has led him to becoming a graduate of Starmark Trainer Academy in Hutto Texas where he became a certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist. After getting his certification he rescued dogs back in the streets of Miami completing numerous behavior modifications to ensure adoptability of the rescues. His need to learn more took him to Tarheel K9, School for Dog Trainers. Here he successfully learned to train scent detection, bite work, and decoying.
